Finding the Best Product

Step 1. Questions

Have you ever stopped and thought about why you buy certain things? Does the packaging attract you? Did an advertisement appeal to you? Sometimes you are paying for the flashy packaging or the advertisement and not the product. Sometime you can buy a product of similar quality in plainer packaging or with no advertising for less money. Learning about different products can empower you as a consumer.

In this e-journal project you will discover how to compare two health products. Use these questions to guide you along the way:
  • Where can you find reliable information about health products?

  • What things can you look for when comparing health products?

  • What are generic products?

  • What else would you like to know about comparing health products?

The first step is to visit the Web sites listed in Step 2 to research the answers to these questions. Take notes in the note-taking boxes. You may also visit other Web sites, or research health products in encyclopedias and other references at the library.

Then, follow Steps 3 and 4 to write your report.

Step 2. Research

Research answers for the questions you were asked in Step 1. Visit these Web sites. Take notes about them on this page, too!
