Learn more about pet dogs. Compare their average life expectancies.

  1. Record the information for the Airedale Terrier and and four more dogs.

  2. On a separate sheet of paper, make a bar graph using the information about the life expectancy of the dogs in your chart. List the dogs on the left side of your graph. Make your scale go from 0 to 20 years. Remember to write a title for the graph and label the sides.

  3. Use the data in the bar graph to write a question that can be answered from the graph. For example, you might ask Which breed of dog has the shortest life expectancy?

  4. Exchange your paper with another group's paper. Answer question 3 on the other group's paper.
