Building Houses

Math Topic: Geometry

Grade: K

Materials
Construction paper of various colors, glue or tape

Setup
Precut rectangles, squares, triangles, and circles from construction paper of different colors

Procedure
Display the paper shapes. Have children choose different paper shapes to make their houses. Encourage them to explore different ways to build a house. Once children have decided how to make their houses, help them glue the shapes onto a piece of paper. Display children's pictures on the bulletin board. Then encourage children to tell about their shape houses.
