Dinosaur Discoveries (p. 163)

Step 1. Questions

People have known about dinosaurs for many years. However, new discoveries are always leading to new ideas about what dinosaurs were like when they were alive.

Write a report about dinosaur discoveries. To do so, you will need to research what we know about dinosaurs and what discoveries have been made recently. Here are some questions to guide your research:
  • What new discoveries about dinosaurs have been made in the past few years?
  • Which dinosaurs may be the best-known or most-studied?
  • What have we learned about dinosaurs that we didn't know before?
  • How have ideas about dinosaurs changed as a result?
Are you ready? Begin by visiting the Web sites listed in Step 2. Look for answers to the questions above, and write down what you learn in the boxes.

You may use search engines to research other Web sites. Or research dinosaur discoveries at the library. When you are ready, follow Steps 3 and 4 to write your report.

Step 2. Research

Research answers for the questions you were asked in Step 1. Visit these Web sites. Take notes about them on this page, too!
