Renewable sources of energy produce electricity. Can you imagine life without electricity? Many things that we do by electricity today were done by hand in the past. How was electricity invented?
Write a report about the pioneers of electricity. To do so, you will research who they are and how they have contributed to society. You will also need to draw conclusions about their work. Here are some questions to guide your research:
Who were the pioneers of electricity?
What were their discoveries? Why are their discoveries important?
How have we benefited from their work?
Did they use renewable or nonrenewable sources of energy?
Are you ready? Begin by visiting the Web sites in Step 2. Look for answers to the questions above, and write down what you learn in the boxes.
You may use search engines to research other Web sites. You can also research the inventors of electricity at the library. When you are ready, follow Steps 3 and 4 to write your report.
