Weather Story (p. 168)


Step 1. Questions

Weather is all around you. Sun, wind, and rain are all parts of the weather. How does weather affect you?

Look at page 168 of your book. Write a story about the boy in the picture. Why is he staring out the window? Tell how the weather changed his plans. Here are some questions to help you:
  • What is weather?
  • How do rainy days and thunderstorms affect you?
  • How did the weather affect the boy in the picture?
Are you ready? Look for answers to the questions. Visit the Web sites in Step 2. Write about what you learn in the boxes.

Thunderstorm Coloring Book
Print out the coloring book. It is about kids named Billy and Maria. Their plans changed because of the weather. Color the pages. Read the words. Think about the boy in your story. How did his day change because of the weather?
