Earth's weather differs from one place to another. In July, the weather in Palmdale, California is hot and dry. It usually does not rain for weeks. Yet, on the other side of the globe, near the Mekong River in Laos, the weather is hot and wet. It is monsoon season and it usually rains every day.
Write a report comparing and contrasting the weather of Palmdale, California, and the area near the Mekong River. To do so, you will research the weather in both places. Here are some questions to guide your research:
What are the temperatures in Palmdale, California, and near the Mekong River in January and in July?
How much rain does each place receive during the year?
How is the weather in California and Laos similar? How is it different?
How does the weather affect how people live in each place?
