Light is a form of energy. There are many different sources of light. The Sun, stars, lightning, fire, and some living things are examples of sources of natural light. Light travels in straight lines from its source. Light passes through some materials but not through others. Materials that don’t allow light to pass through them are opaque. Materials that block light create shadows.
