Describing Weather

Step 1. Questions

How does weather affect life in your community? How would life in your community change if the weather were always cold and snowy? Or if it were hotter and drier?

Wherever you live, the weather is important. Weather affects the basic parts of your life: food, clothing, and shelter.

Below are some questions to ask about the weather. Read them, and then research the answers.
  • What is the weather like today where you live?
  • What will it be like tomorrow where you live?
  • How do you know about the weather?
  • When can weather seriously affect our lives?

Step 2. Research

Research answers for the questions you were asked in Step 1. Visit these Web sites. Take notes about them on this page, too!
