Offline Activity: If First You Don’t Succeed...
The first attempt to develop a tank for warfare ended in disappointment. Not everyone was convinced tanks would help win wars. However, some people still believed the technology had potential. A better tank was built. Be a World War I journalist. Write a short article about the development of tank technology. Report on Little Willie’s technical problems. Then describe how the Mark I was an improvement over Little Willie. Report on the effect that the tanks had on the German army. Don’t forget to title your news article.
