1. During the Civil War, Corinth was called the “Crossroads of the Confederacy.” Take a walk through this Mississippi town to discover why it was important. Go to Facts: Corinth, Mississippi, 1861-1865.

Offline Activity: Civil War Reporter
Imagine that you are a newspaper reporter working during the Civil War. Using the information from the site, write two newspaper articles, one about the battle at Brice’s Cross Roads, and the other about the Battle of Vicksburg. As you write, include the answers to the questions who, what, when, where, and how.
