2. Learn more about New Jersey and the American Revolution by taking a virtual tour of the Old Barracks Museum in Trenton, New Jersey. Go to Barracks History: Turning Point Battles.

  • Look at the numbers on the map and the read explanations below to follow the battle action. Read the rest of the text.
  • At the bottom of the page and click and read 2nd Battle.
  • At the top of the page in the red bar, click Meet the Past.
  • Click Life Stories. Learn what it was like to witness these battles. Pick one of the seven characters and read the fictional life story.
Offline Activity: Revolutionary Role Play
Use the information about the battles and the life story of the character you chose to write a two-minute speech. Pretend you are the character. What would you say to people to tell about your life? Role play the character for the rest of the class. See if other students in your class can guess which Revolutionary figure you selected. Be careful not to reveal your name or identity!
