Offline Activity: Dear Diary
Write a journal entry for a child living in Pompeii on August 23, A.D. 79. That is the day before Mt. Vesuvius erupted. Have the child tell his or her age and describe a typical day. Include details about the child’s family and home. You may wish to mention the surrounding landscape in the diary entry.
