Offline Activity: The Art of the Renaissance
Open your textbook to pages 340-341 and look at the picture of the Tempietto. Use the Web site information to write an essay explaining how this temple illustrates characteristics of Renaissance architecture. Then look at El Greco’s painting, A View of Toledo, and Caterina Van Hemessen’s self-portrait. Choose one painting and write an essay explaining how it illustrates characteristics of Renaissance painting.
