Have you ever wondered about the daily life of ancient people? Take an online tour of an exhibit of art and artifacts from ancient Egypt. On your tour, dig for clues about how the people of Egypt once lived. At University of Memphis Institute of Egyptian Art and Archaeology:

To complete your project

Make a replica of one of the Egyptian artifacts that you saw.

If you make either of the statues, you might use clay. For the model granary, use cardboard or wood. For the triangular loaf of bread, use clay, paper, or cardboard. For the mummy, use clay or cloth.

When you finish your artifact, work with your class to create an Egyptian exhibit. Invite other classes to tour your completed exhibit!
