Unit 3: Life Long Ago

In this history unit, students learn about life long ago when they are introduced to an interview and a time line. The first people to live in America were Native Americans and students are given an opportunity to compare and contrast different Native American groups. They visit Christopher Columbus' discovery of America and learn about the first settlers. Our nation's first President is introduced, along with the concepts of slavery and the Civil War.
