Unit 2: Where We Live Children will investigate where they live. They will compare their home to other kinds of homes. They will learn about the many different rooms in their school. Children will think of ways we move from one place to another place such as a boat or a bicycle. Models will be introduced and children will be invited to use manipulatives to make a model of their classroom. Neighborhoods will be explored and students will make a map of their own neighborhood. Cities and farms will be compared. Children will identify their state on a United States map and identify land and water on our Earth using a globe.
