Students may choose any colors they like for the continents except blue. It may help some students to outline the continents before coloring the oceans.

Explain to students that if an animal becomes extinct, it means there are no more of them. That is one thing Rachel Carson worried about. If an animal becomes extinct, we cannot bring it back. We would never see it again.
