Benjamin Franklin lived in early America.

He had many good ideas that helped America become a big, strong country.

Declaration of IndependenceBen Franklin printed some of his ideas in a book called Poor Richard's Almanac. An almanac is a book full of calendars and interesting facts. Poor Richard's Almanac also had advice and jokes.

Ben Franklin was a very good writer. He helped write the Declaration of Independence.
